TDR announces some exciting new projects in the third quarter. TDR and the SmithGroup Architectural firm are partnering to help Gallaudet University in the design of the new Sorenson Language and Communications Center (SLCC) located on the Washington DC Campus. The project will include hearing, speech and language sciences classrooms and labs, as well as linguistics and sociology studies including communications studies with clinical /research, interview studios, labs, computer labs, video editing and video production facilities. This is an exciting project for TDR using multiple divisions of the organization in providing technological solutions across voice, data, audiovisual and MATV disciplines. TDR is looking forward to working with the architectural team and the university in this advanced technological environment. TDR was also approached by ACE Communications to partner with them in the design of technology for the new Georgetown University Business school project. This project is being approached a bit differently then standard new construction projects. The design team includes the integrator right from inception of the project. We are very excited about this project. By working with ACE and Georgetown University we are developing new partnerships and relations we hope will last a long time. The University of Baltimore Campus has also selected TDR and Melville Thomas Architects on a blanket purchase order for technology consulting on an as required basis for new construction and renovation services. Some other new projects of note are the US State Department headend distribution design project, University of Maryland College Park Smith School of Business (16) classroom renovation project, University Of Maryland Kim Engineering building project, First Presbyterian Church of Winchester, and the State Department Diplomatic museum project. TDR is also pleased to announce a partnership with Wake Technologies Inc. in the Philadelphia area, expanding our combined company presence in the IT technology marketplace.
